What should the printer do if there are multiple versions or copies?

Answer:

If a converting job has multiple versions or copies, mark the carton or side of the paper skid with a marker. At least three sheets for each version should be marked Version A, B, and so on. Separate versions on skids when feasible. If these directions are followed, the converter can properly separate and mark different copies of the completed envelope.

Now that I’ve received the envelope layout, what should I print on each sheet?

Answer:

Before you print: National Envelope requests a flat sheet blueline as a last check for the printer. This will save you and National Envelope time, money, and insure a quality product.

What to print:

A. Print copy for the envelope
B. Master marks
C. Side and tail register marks (be careful and position away from envelope die cut area)
D. Gripper and guide

What not to print:

A. Outline of die
B. Color bar that is in outline envelope die cut area
C. Outline of window
